Never Thin Enough

Posted by notthinenough on February 4, 2012 at 10:00 PM

I am never thin enough ever. I started in August last year at 168lbs and 5'5. I went on the Dukan Diet, a protien only diet and got to 139lbs. Then everyone told me to stop. So at Christmas I ate what I wanted, but I wanted to lose more so I went back on it, Now I am 135lbs and have started purging even tho I'm not binging. I am still not thin enough!! Nothing works. I try to starve, but I'm too weak and faint all the time. I purge until nothing comes out but it doesn't work! I've hit a plateau! what do I do!? I only eat protein and 0% Dairy, if that!

Protein is high in fat. It is meant to assist you in building muscle tone when exercising. If you're not exercising, the little amounts of the meat your body is able to digest before you purge is being stored as fat because your body is in starvation mode. When you don't eat enough, your metabolism slows down, & your body eventually hits an emergency button where it stores EVERYTHING it digests as fat because it doesn't know when the next meal is coming. This is to keep your organs from shutting down & keep your body from eating itself. This is why restrictive diets often end up working, but then, after completion, you gain the weight back & usually more than you originally had lost. It's because your body NEEDS food to survive, & if you deprive yourself of the amount it NEEDS, it goes into survival mode until you get back into a HEALTHY lifestyle & maintain it for a significant period of time, exercising to speed your metabolism back up & eating proper amounts of food. The best your body will ever look is when you take proper care of it through HEALTHY eating habits & regular exercise. Hope that helps.

i finally found something that works for me....im 5'4 started at 160, got down to 140 doing a 1000 calorie diet and now im on a 500 calorie diet and im down to 130, if your body reaches a plateau mix it up on your calorie intake.... normal day for me is breakfast: coffee and a toast lunch: green salad about 1 or 2 cups or as much as u want it 20 calories per cup with olive oil as dressing or something healthy like that snacks: grapes and strawberries dinner: tea

Yeah I know, I know all this but it'sthe only diet that'sever worked for me, i tried the healthy way loads of times. I know it's pretty bad and can mke you put on weight after but it's the only thing that's ever helped me to lose so i feel compelled to carry on, if you know what i mean! xx
