loosing control

Posted by bazar on March 12, 2010 at 4:52 AM

so this is my first time on this site..and it feels a bit strange talking so openly about this whole skinny thing...i have had a massive relapse and gained back all the weight i lost plus a bit more.. i am loosing control of my eating and bingeing almost every day now. without control of what i eat, i feel i have no control of the rest of my life. its an obsession and a fight every day of my life. it was so easy to loose weight and keep it off for months but it now seems impossible... any tips?

for a reference i was 49kgs (approximately 109 lbs for all who use that metric system) and i am now 58kgs (about 127.7lbs) :(

also i have heard the abc diet works? should i try it?

the abc is hard to do, diff cals everyday and lotsa fasting. I like a modified version of 2468, although I eat way more that 200, 400, 600, or 800 cals every day. it does feel good to get a hold of your eating habits. I eat more like 1200, 1400, 1600, or 1800. I tend to binge if I dont allow myself to eat now that i have been working out a lot. good luck!

firstly i know exactly how you feel because I went through it for a few months and I've only recently got myself back on track
The best thing I can suggest is firstly wean yourself off the candy and high fat foods and swap them for fresh fruit and vegetables that way you will lose a little weight even when you binge on them - replace sodas with green teas and watered down fruit juice - do that for around 2 weeks and then go on a juice fast where you cut out the food but keep the green teas and watered down fruit juice - the first three days are the hardest but if you look on youtube, google and pt you will find lots of thinspo, keep a record of your weight daily and you will hopefully see some change in your weight - atm i have been on a water fast with a difference for 5 days now - basically I have cut out all foods and only drunk water, watered down fruit juice and one fruit tea - remember cold water will boost your metabolism helping you to lose weight easier and the hot water will ease any hunger pains - i always take a hot water bottle to bed and place it on my stomach - it really works wonders for me and also if you have a craving to chew something I suggest either ice cubes as they are 0cals and boost your metabolism and chewing gum but make sure its sugarfree and when it is what would have been sugar is replaced by something called sorbitol which acts as a mild laxative when you consume mass quantities of chewing gum. doing it this way worked for me and last night I weighed myself to find out that I've lost 8lbs in total! =]
Personally the abc diet will work only if you are seriously determined but seen as you are trying to get back on track after a serious amount of bingeing I would say to start slow and then consistently cut things out as time goes on rather than going cold turkey straight away - the thing you need to remember is that if you go cold turkey instantly, you're more likely to binge at the end of your fast
I hope I have helped you and good luck =]

OK! YOU can do this! YOU CAN AND WILL GET CONTROL! This site is awesome and is so inspirational and supportive. Since I started not too long ago, I got over my plateau and lost 5 more pounds..in 12 days... I was in the same thing and started with carrot sticks and celery and I carried them with me all the time. When I felt hungry (all the time) I ate these, and finally got control..lots of water...lots of exercise.. listen to the other girls here..they are experts --trust me. they helped me, and they were supportive when I felt like killing myself.
