A site about beauty, in our eyes

Tac it On

NEW Tattoo Community Starting today! October 22, 2009

Tattoos have been around from the dawn of time, symbolizing unity, expressing individuality, reflecting ownership, screaming freedom. Such dualities, ink has meant everything from a thing of beauty to one of shame or hurt.

During the Jewish holocaust, people were tattooed with numbers the same way cattle would be branded, with the intention of making them seem less human and nothing more than a number.

Many people go and get a tattoo the moment they are eligible as a release into freedom and independence that screams out far more liberating than getting hammered on booze because you’re old enough to.

This site is about beauty, and the way people define beauty. Whatever the history, whatever the past, whatever the way you or others think about it, there is a stream of thought that resonates among human consciousness that defines ink as beautiful, as art, and self, and “being me.”

I hope more and more people who find tattoo art to be beautiful join this site and contribute to the videos and images as other members of the site. Here, I’m just kicking things off and getting us started. Stay Beautiful!
