Writing your Story

UPDATE MARCH 9, 2011
I am once again write about the concept of pro-ana. I could post this in the forums and have done so in the past, but I didn't want to create a discussion. I wanted your unadulterated thoughts. Feel free to write anonymously if you like. But I'm asking for submissions - what does Pro-Ana mean to you?

The best outreach we can give to allow others to come to a better understanding of ourselves is by offering our story. We all have one, sprinkled with moments that stand out as having made a change in who we are or how we feel, vibrating intensely with emotion. Share your story. Send them, in as much detail as you like, to pretty.thin@yahoo.com

The stories will be published, most likely on this site, and possibly elsewhere as it relates to PrettyThin. If you writ, you will be kept anonymous unless you ask specifically to be given credit.

Thank you for sharing who you are so that we may all grow through your experiences and understanding of the world.

Support

PrettyThin is now on Facebook.

I'm not fully sure why, but we'll figure it out together I'm sure. You can choose to Like or not with your real or fake profile.

If you "Like", take 20 seconds and write on the wall. The page is what we make of it - what you write makes PrettyThin Facebook exactly that.

(this page was removed by facebook - they gave no explanation nor will they reply back)

Many people write and say thank you. For those who wish to interact without being connected directly to PT, just Like my page on Facebook.

I am using this as part of my resume, so anything you write on the wall is appreciated. As the page is for more than just PT, please do not mention PT directly.

Your support really means a lot. Thank you, for being you.

Support PrettyThin

There are many ways to support the efforts of PrettyThin. Your contributions go toward funding this website, as well to advancing the efforts of PrettyThin and what it can do for its members.

Currently PrettyThin offers only online support to those who come here for it. One day we hope to also be able to offer support for those who need it offline as well. Some examples are helping members through collage, sponsoring members who seek recovery and can't afford it, and potentially a lot more.

Content

PrettyThin is always looking for content. If you have some Photoshop skills and can put together images that can be used on this website, please send them to prettythinmag@gmail.com

Are you a writer? Stories are always appreciated. They can be about anything you like, but make them personal. A lot of people have written about their journey with their ED, from when and how it came to be, to when and how they found themselves on PT. Share as much as you like. It may find it's way onto this site. It will be as anonymous as you like; we generally make them anonymous anyway because it's easier to do.

Link Balance

PrettyThin links to a lot of websites, so it's nice to have some link balancing: having you place a link to PrettyThin in your website.

You can use text, or grab any image on PT and link from that from your website to ours.
